Anders Liljefors is the sixth subject of the Treasures series. Born in 1928, I filmed him one crisp and wintry afternoon in March 2005.
Anders' primary instrument is the violin, but he is equally adept and has just as much fun with the nyckelharpa. Playing with Anders is Ditte Andersson who is his niece. Both are thoroughly steeped in the musical traditions of Uppland and are actively engaged in keeping this wonderful music alive and vibrant. Here they switch with ease between the nyckelharpa and the fiddle as they banter and while away a few hours remembering tunes together. I invite you to join them!
