My love and respect for Swedish traditional music has led me down multiple magical paths, one of which inspired me to begin making documentary and instructional films. I felt there was a void crying out to be filled. Armed with my trusty toolkit—two Canon GL1 video cameras, a gaggle of external microphones, cables and miscellaneous paraphernalia—I travel light and leave only a very slight footprint on my occasional filming forays into the musical hinterlands of my native Sweden.

Swedish Folk Music Treasures

This is my ongoing passion—the film documentation of mature masters of the nyckelharpa and fiddle (mainly) such that future generations will have access to study musical dialects and playing styles of these “Treasures”. To date I have thirteen different titles.
